I'm on a roll today. Had fun in one of my other blogs; sometimes you can't help yourself. But this topic actually irks me .. I touched on the subject before but .. it's the topic of the week apparently due to an event coming up this weekend. Here's the bottom line. Lets call it ... Dress Code.
If you throw a leg over your bike and head to a Association event, dress approriately. You know .. put some fucking pants on. Put your fucking boots on. Don your Cut. Optionally, a lid. Now ... get on down the road.
Lets fast forward to my issue'. If you aren't riding, why are you worried about your cut? Why are you busting balls about a 'dress code' if you aren't even fucking riding? What I'm really getting at is ... cracks me up when we go to Chapter Meetings .. State Meetings ... Regionals... Nationals .. and people pull up in their cage, put their cut on (assuming it wasn't already on .. a NO NO) and trod on into the mix. Yes, I understand the thought process sometimes, but don't agree with it. At the core, I just disagree with it. If you ain't riding, leave the Cut. Simple as that. Now, if you want to wear a speedo with a skully on it, flip flops and a ragged ass shirt and join the fray .. knock yourself out. Just don't do it with a cut on like that .. you know .. like the shit you see at Nationals sometimes? JS Now in pure hypocrisy ... I've given in for a Leather and Lace ball we've had. I've brought it for a biker cruise as part of the whole process that hundreds of others do. If one attended either, they'd understand why.
Now ... here's the final gist. If you ain't riding but caging, why the fuck worry about a 'dress code' of sorts? Am I missing something? Me personally, I have a closet full of soft colors to include some nice button ups. You can even wear some shorts. Get with the program and quit whining...
There .. I feel better now
